I grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia, and earned my degree from Radford University, where I was also a student athlete on the track and field team. My experiences as a collegiate athlete shaped my passion for mental health and inspired me to become a counselor. I recognized that athletes and individuals from underserved communities often face barriers to accessing mental health care due to stigma, limited resources, and cultural misconceptions. My philosophy of care is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I am committed to helping individuals build resilience, improve emotional wellbeing, and achieve meaningful personal growth.
