Carrie Grant, PMHNP-BC, MSN, grew up in Northern Illinois and earned her MSN/PMHNP from the University of St. Francis, BSN from Aurora University, and AA from Elgin Community College. After many years as a bedside nurse, including ICU work during 2020, Carrie saw the deep connection between physical illness and mental health, which inspired her transition into psychiatric care. Her philosophy is influenced by the Tidal Model of Mental Health Recovery: life has inevitable ebbs, flows, and storms, but each person remains the expert in their own story. Carrie’s goal is to provide support, guidance, and treatment that empowers patients to recognize their strengths and move toward healing.
